## What Coolify does

Coolify is an open-source, self-hostable platform for deploying websites, applications, databases, and more than 280 one-click services to your own servers. It works as a self-managed alternative to Vercel, Heroku, Netlify, and Railway.

Coolify is a deployment platform you run on your own infrastructure. Coolify sets up and renews Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, backs up databases to any S3-compatible storage, and monitors deployments, servers, and disk usage. Notifications go out through channels such as Discord, Telegram, and email. A browser-based terminal lets you run commands on your servers, and webhooks and an API let you plug Coolify into CI/CD pipelines and other tools.

There is no vendor lock-in: all settings are saved on your own servers, so you keep control even if you stop using Coolify. Teams can share projects and set roles and permissions for each member.
