What Streaks does
Streaks is a habit tracker for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Vision Pro. You pick up to 24 daily tasks and build a streak by completing them each day.
Streaks turns habits into a short daily list. You choose up to 24 tasks, such as walking the dog, flossing, or practicing a language, and every day you complete a task, its streak grows by one. Miss a day and that streak goes back to zero, which is the whole motivation behind the app.
Not every habit is daily. You can set a task for specific weekdays or a number of times per week, so a gym habit three days a week does not break your streak. Negative tasks help you stop a bad habit, and timed tasks track things like meditation.
Streaks connects to the Apple Health app, so it can complete some tasks by itself, for example when you reach a step count or log water. Reminders tell you when a task is still open, and daily notes let you record how it went.
The app syncs through iCloud across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. The Apple Watch app has complications and widgets for checking and completing tasks from your wrist. You can also share tasks with other Streaks users for encouragement.
Streaks is made by Crunchy Bagel, a small studio, and won an Apple Design Award. It is a one-time purchase on the App Store and is available in more than 20 languages.
The app is highly customizable. It offers 78 color themes, more than 600 task icons, and home screen widgets, and you choose how often each task must be completed or repeated. Statistics for each task show your history, so you can see where a habit slips.
