What Tally does

Tally is an online form builder where you type questions on a page like in a document. The free plan gives unlimited forms and submissions, with logic, payments, signatures, and file uploads.

Tally is a form builder that works like a text editor. You open a blank page, type your questions, and insert input blocks with a slash command, in a similar way to Notion. No code is needed, and you can create a first form without an account.

The block library covers contact details, file uploads, e-signatures, payments, ratings, rankings, scales, and date and time fields. With these blocks you can build surveys, quizzes, lead forms, job applications, order forms, and RSVP forms. Conditional logic shows or hides blocks and adds branching, a calculator uses variables for scores and prices, hidden fields take data from URL parameters, and answer piping reuses earlier answers in later questions.

You can share a form as a Tally link, embed it in a website or a Notion page, or show it as a popup. Themes, columns, images, custom CSS, and more than 50 languages for the default form messages let you match your brand. Submissions can go to Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, Coda, and webhooks, or to thousands of other tools through Zapier, Make, and Pipedream. A public API and an MCP server, currently in beta, let developers and AI assistants create forms and fetch submissions.

Tally BV is a small, bootstrapped team based in Belgium. The product is hosted in the EU, is GDPR compliant, does not use cookie tracking, and encrypts form data in transit and at rest.

The free plan has unlimited forms and submissions within a fair use policy, and most advanced features are included in it. The paid Pro plan removes Tally branding and adds custom domains, team collaboration, partial submissions, drop-off analytics, and version history. A Business plan adds data retention controls and email verification.

Best for

Creators, startups, and teams that need surveys, lead forms, or order forms without writing code and without a low submission limit.

Not for

Organizations that must host form data on their own servers, or people who need a fully offline or self-hosted form tool.
