What Twenty does

Twenty is an open-source CRM for technical teams. You can self-host it or use the cloud version, customize objects and workflows, and connect AI agents through its MCP server and API.

Twenty is a customer relationship management system built as open-source software. It covers the usual CRM records, such as companies, people, opportunities, tasks, and notes, with table, Kanban, and calendar views and dashboards for reporting.

The main difference from classic CRMs is how far you can change it. Custom objects, fields, views, and layouts are unlimited, and workflows automate routine steps. Teams can build custom apps on top of the data model instead of working around a fixed schema.

Twenty is designed to work with AI agents. Each workspace has an MCP server, so assistants such as Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT can read and write CRM data, and REST and GraphQL APIs are generated from each workspace's own schema. The company publishes an llms.txt file, an API catalog, and an MCP server card for agents.

You can self-host Twenty from its GitHub repository or use the hosted cloud version. Cloud plans start at $9 per user per month with a free trial, and larger plans add SSO, row-level permissions, and custom domains.

Twenty is popular on GitHub, where the repository has tens of thousands of stars and an active contributor community. The data model is shared by the web app, the APIs, and the MCP server, so a custom object you add becomes available to people, integrations, and agents at the same time. CSV import and export make it possible to move data in and out, and email and calendar accounts can be connected for each user.
